Exercises in Conscious Listening: Forest
The video is the recording of my first attempt to converse, connect, interlace with the multispecies surroundings; an attempt to find ways towards non-linguistic exchanges by way of simple wearable devices. Emphasising the non-visual to awaken, in the human world, the less prominent senses, and in Donna Haraway’s words begin to see with “fingery eyes”.
The sound was made using and manipulating multiple field-recordings in order to express the acoustic, tactile and gustatory senses and chemical exchanges experienced during the event.
