The performance is a meditation on the convoluted interspecies history of colonialism, the displacement of human and non-human populations, and the nature as recourse view of post-enlightenment Europe.
When I researched the butterflies in the frame I found out that they were all originated from South-East Asia, this discovery prompted the performance. To honour them and all that have been displaced, misused and abused through colonialism.
